Welfare and happy horses is Alice's top priority.

If you would like your brand associated with a fantastic string of much loved, smartly turned out ponies please contact Alice for details.

Phoenix

The first of seven homebreds. Phoenix is out of Pip x Rector, His sire, Rector, played high goal and was brought to the UK by one of the most famous Chilean high goal players, Gabriel Donoso. His dam, Pip, was played by a British 6 goaler.

Phoenix was the first polo pony Alice bred and trained herself. He is one of the top in her string and although he's tall, he's very agile, handy, well balanced and fast.

The proudest moment to date is Adolfo Cambiaso, the worlds no.1 player, trying and liking Phoenix with a view to buy and play the high goal.

15.3hh homebred gelding, foaled 2009 (Rector x Pip)

Anegro

Another total star, Anegro is the half brother to Piskui. His sire was Negrito and his dam was the famous Bamba. He was also bred and played by Eduardo Heguy alongside Piskui in the high goal all his life. He's Piskui's half brother and was one of Eduardo's best horses in his day.

Anegro is a very powerful  and fast and a huge asset to Alice's string.

15.3hh chestnut gelding, foaled 1999 (Bamba x Negrito)

Havana

Havana is Alice's second home-bred out of a small Thoroughbred mare Alice brought over from the USA to play called Nicotina. Havana's sire was the Chilean stallion Rector, the same as Phoenix.

Havana is very similar to her dam. Fast, handy, easy and very very pretty.

15.2hh Homebred mare, foaled 2010 (Rector x Nicotina)

Riva

Riva was a big gangly foal and late to mature but now she's filled out and has worked her way up to be as good as the others and part of the main string.

She is also out of Nicotina and her sire was an Irish thoroughbred called Dance Night. Dance Night was out of Danehill Dancer and these famous bloodlines go back 5 generations to Northern Dancer.

Her name 'Riva Dancer' came from both the famous sires on either side of her bloodlines. Riva Ridge from Nicotina and Northern Dancer from Dance Night.

15.2hh Homebred mare, foaled 2011 (Dance Night x Nicotina)

Sienna

Sienna is amazing. She may be small but she's got a huge personality, sometimes acts a little spoilt and knows she's a star.

She has excellent polo breeding bloodlines. Her dam is Ketty, A mare that played the 40 goal in Argentina with Nachi Heguy before coming to England to play the British high goal.

Her sire is a famous little stallion called Vasco Chamuyo (Bailanta & Polo Nevadito). Polo Nevadito, owned by the Heguys, has produced numerous offspring that have competed at the Open. Chamuyo also played the highest level in the world, competing with Eduardo Heguy at the Argentine Open and all the British high goal.

With these bloodlines it was her destiny is to do great things and currently she's heading in the right direction.

Red

Red is the latest rebel to take over from Phoenix as the yard clown. Always causing trouble in the group wanting to be centre of attention.

He is out of Nicotina and his sire was Stuart, a stallion bred by Alan Kent that has played the high goal.

Red has only just joined the main string, he progressed a lot the last season and is showing a lot of talent.

Homebred Chestnut Gelding, foaled 2013 (Stuart x Nicotina)

Zuma

Zuma is a little person who already thinks she knows it all. She wants to be involved with EVERYTHING.

She is out of Ketty who Alice played for several seasons before retiring her to breeding and the sire was another stallion from the Heguy bloodlines that played the British high goal, Chapaleufu Mediterraneo. Zuma started some ground work and was backed in 2018. She is one of the easiest and quietest so far.........watch this space!

Homebred mare, foaled 2016 (Chapaleufu Mediterraneo x Ketty)

Piskui

Piskui is a total legend and well known by many people who follow the high goal in both Argentina and England.

He was bred and previously played by Eduardo Heguy who is one of the most famous players in history having achieved a 10 goal rating, won the Argentine Open and played high goal around the world.

Piskui's unusual colouring is very rare, especially as neither his dam (Bamba) or sire (Polo Nevadito) have any colouring.

Both is sire and dam played the Argentine Open with Eduardo, they are both two of his most famous horses.

He was retired from the high goal and ended up with Alice in 2014. He's everything you would expect, fast, handy and generally amazing to play. Piskui is now enjoying his retirement in Wales.

15.3hh Coloured gelding, foaled 1999 (Bamba x Nevadito)

Alba

Alba was bred in Argentina by 6 goal player Federico Teves. Alice helped Federico train his young horses for many years and fell in love with Alba as a 4 year old that she was working with. She's been at all of Alice's major wins and is the longest standing member of Alice's string having been with her for 10 years. Alba was retired to a lovely hacking home in 2018 after playing with Alice for over 10 years.

15.2hh chestnut mare, foaled 2004 (Argentine TB)

Nicotina

Alice played Nicotina in Santa Fe, New Mexico and knowing her potential brought her back to the UK in 2004. She was spotted and tried for the high goal but unfortunately due to an injury a week later she never got to prove herself. Luckily she recovered and was able to be retired and enjoy the rest of her days as a broodmare. Her offspring include Havana, Riva and Red.

Nicotina was super quick off the mark, ultra responsive, very sharp at turning, handy, powerful and fast. She amazing to play and was a key part of Alice's string for many years, winning together many of her victories.

Her offspring are all proving to have her same playing ability.

15.1hh Chestnut mare (USA TB)

Ketty

Ketty came from Nachi Heguy who had played her in the 40 goal in Argentina and then the high goal in England. She was a tiger to play, very powerful and loved to ride off but also handy and generally awesome to play.

Ketty has produced Sienna and Zuma, two future stars of Alice's polo string.

15.2hh Chestnut mare (Polo Argentino bloodlines)

Luque

Luque was a complete gentleman. He came from 6 goaler, Federico Teves, in Argentina. He was so well behaved and would look after any rider but to play he would transform into a powerhouse and he was easily one of the fastest of Alice's string.

Luque was retired in 2014 to a happy hacking home.

15.2hh Grey Gelding (Sire Vigorous Toss. Argentine TB)

Huerfano

Vasco Huerfano was the first ex high goal pony that Alice owned. He was also bred and previously played by Eduardo Heguy in the Argentine Open and the British high goal.

Huerfano's sire was Polo Sol Puro, another of the most famous stallions from the Heguy's breeding in Argentina.

'Hef' had an amazingly soft mouth and was super responsive. Unfortunately Alice had to cut down her string with homebreds coming through but he has the most amazing home and is still playing low goal with a lady player.

15.2hh Bay Gelding (Polo Sol Puro x Parchita)
